While millions of Americans were
watching the horrific events in New York City and Washington DC on September
11, 2001 another revealing scenario was being played out in Sarasota,
Florida, thousands of miles away. While the media coverage was naturally
focused on the planes, buildings and human suffering, the President was
visiting an elementary school with a group of children and their teachers.
What happened that day and what didn’t happen that day has been
reported by mainstream journalists. However, it seems that they haven’t put
the pieces together to look at the pattern that unfolds. The facts speak
for themselves, reported in mainstream news, unexplained.
The staff at Emma E. Booker Elementary was elated to hear
in August that they had passed the first round in the selection of schools
for a presidential visit. They were asked to keep it secret. Then on
September 6 they were told that they had been selected to be one of several
schools in the President’s educational tour. President George W. Bush was
going to visit their school on September 11. The lid of secrecy was off and
the entire community was made aware of preparations for the visit. Phone
lines were needed, communications antennae, office space for the Secret
Service. Broadcast journalists needed electricity and phones. Fox News
alone needed 49 phone lines. Offices had to be cleared. Barricades were set
up. Hundreds of reporters and camera crews began setting up. Secret
Service agents set up security for the visit. September 10, ABC News
reported on the President’s visit to Jacksonville and Sarasota elementary
schools. “Bush is set to take part in a reading program demonstration and
address parents and teachers at Emma E. Booker Elementary School in Sarasota
on Tuesday. Carol Long, EEB bookkeeper, wrote these memories for the school
web site:
For several days due to security reasons, "mum" was the word regarding
President Bush's visit. It was so hard to keep it a secret. Then, finally on
Thursday September 6th, it was "OK" to tell everyone. How
exciting!!!!!!!!!!!
Immediately our front office was surrounded by Secret Service and White
House aides. There was so much to do: new phone lines to put in, desks to
clear, offices to "give up". There was a real thrill in the front office to
watch first hand all the preparations necessary to prepare for our country's
leader. Soon the media heard of our special visitor and immediately were on
campus. I never realized all that had to be done.!!!!!! Our campus was
surrounded by many people working on days, nights, and even the weekend
setting up and "moving-in".
When the President of the United States travels, he brings
a huge entourage: Secret Service, staff, and communications technicians. No
one in the world has as much communication technology at his fingertips.
Mike Allen, a Washington Post staff writer reported on
Tuesday, September 11, 2001:
Bush had begun his morning at about 6:30 a.m., running 4.5
miles during a 42-minute stop at a golf course near the Longboat Key resort
where he spent the night. It was dark when he started. He ran with a
reporter, Richard Keil of Bloomberg News, and both were sopping wet after
keeping a 7 minute 20 second pace. A Secret Service agent ran with them, and
they were trailed by three golf carts—a reminder of the extraordinary
apparatus that follows the president even at an ordinary moment.
Meanwhile, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)
"National Urban Search and Rescue Team was called into action for the days
events. In an interview on national TV with CBS News anchor, Dan Rather, a
member of the team, Tom Kennesey, said,
"We're currently one of the first
teams that was deployed to support the City of New York in this disaster.
We arrived on late Monday night and went right into action on Tuesday
morning." [Hear it here:

At Logan International Airport in
Boston and Newark International in NJ, and Dulles in Washington DC,
passengers were arriving for their morning flights. They each presented
their picture ID at the ticketing counter and again at the boarding gate.
Before takeoff, the flight attendants in charge checked each of the seated
passengers against the manifest as a final check. All was in order and with
only 92 people on board, American Airlines Flight 11 took off from Logan at
7:59 a.m. bound for Los Angeles. It was not even half full. The previous day
4,516 put options were purchased on American Airlines as compared to 748
call options. A put option essentially is a speculation that the stock will
go down. A call option is a speculation that the stock will go up. Someone
knew that American Airlines stock was going to be in trouble.
September 21; The New York Times; The Wall
Street Journal
At 8:10 a.m. American Airlines Flight
77 leaves Washington Dulles Airport, heading to Los Angeles with only 64
people on board. Four minutes later United Airlines Flight 175 took off
from Logan International Airport with only 65 passengers and crew, also
heading to Los Angeles. In the September 24 issue of Newsweek, the
weekly magazine reported that on September 10 “a group of top Pentagon
officials suddenly canceled travel plans for the next morning, apparently
because of security concerns.” San Francisco mayor, Willie Brown, was warned
by his security agent not to fly that morning. The 266 people aboard these
four flights were not warned.
After a 41 minute delay, United Airlines
Flight 93 took off
at 8:01 a.m.
from Newark International Airport bound for San Francisco with only 45
passengers and crew. The previous week, 4,744 put options had been
purchased on United Air Lines stock as opposed to only 396 call options.
This was a dramatic and abnormal increase in sales of put options. Such
speculations only affected American and United stock. Somebody was
betting that both American Airlines and United Airlines stock was going to
fall. The US government has the capability to monitor the stock market
and the National Security Agency normally does.

Street Journal
At 8:28 a.m. AAL Flight 11 suddenly made an unexpected
hard left turn, heading not toward Los Angeles, but toward New York. At the
same time, the transponder, which normally allows controllers to identify
the plane, was turned off. Air Traffic controllers could nevertheless track
the jumbo jets. Within moments, air traffic controllers noticed something
was also very wrong with United Flight 175. Instead of going west to
California, it took a U-turn over New Jersey and headed northeast to
Manhattan's World Trade Center.
At 8:40 am, The FAA notified NORAD of the wayward flights.
Normally, the Air Force on 24 hour alert, 7 days a week, and watches the
same traffic as the FAA to avoid any conflicts with military traffic.
Routinely, the Air Force would send up a fighter within 2.5 minutes. A
fighter travels at Mach 2-2.5, 20-30 miles/minute and a heat-seeking missile
has a range of 18 miles. McGuire Air Force Base is 71 miles from New York
City. AAL Flight 11 flew over NYC, past the city and went to somewhere
around Newark, NJ. At that point it did a 360-degree bank to fly back to NYC
and collided with the North Tower of the World Trade Center at 8:46 am.
There had been no response from the Air Force.
In Sarasota, reporters were getting the news from their
news desks. ABC-TV reported that before entering the Emma E. Booker
Elementary School in Sarasota, Florida, a reporter asked President Bush if
he knew what had happened in New York City that morning. He replied that he
did and would have something to say about it later.
Just after Bush arrives at Booker
Elementary School between 8:55 - 9:00 a.m. he is briefly told of the WTC
crash and he is whisked into a holding room and updated on the situation via
telephone by National Security Advisor Rice. [Christian
Science Monitor, 9/17/01,
Time, 9/12/01] Rice later claims,
"He said, what a terrible, it sounds like a terrible accident. Keep me
informed." [ABC
News, 9/11/02] School
principal Gwen Tose-Rigell is then summoned to a room to talk with the
President: "He said a commercial plane has hit the World Trade Center, and
we're going to go ahead and go on, we're going on to do the reading thing
anyway." [AP,
8/19/02 (D)]
At 9:03 am, Flight 175 nearly missed the South Tower of
the World Trade Center and much of the jet fuel spilled in the crash
exploded in a fireball outside the building.
President
Bush was first scheduled to listen to Mrs. Daniels' 18 second-graders read a
story about a girl's pet goat. He sat with his hands folded and his legs
crossed, with a bemused look. At 9:05 am, without interrupting the lesson,
Andrew Card, Bush's chief of staff, whispered comments about the tragedy
into Bush's ear. Still the President remained to listen to the children
read. The second-graders read so well that Bush said, “Really good readers!
Whoo! This must be sixth-graders.” Before Bush left the classroom, reporters
asked him about the World Trade Center incident. "We'll talk about it
later," he said. (Sarasota
Herald-Tribune (FL), Bush hears of attack while visiting Booker, September
12, 2001 Page: A20)
At 9:20 am President Bush joined the teachers and students
who had been waiting since 8:15 am for his scheduled speech in the media
center. He spoke briefly and somberly about the terrorist attacks and left
the school at about 9:30 am. The Manatee County's Sheriff's SWAT division
was called in to clear Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport. Their
mission: to ensure that the President got out of the state safely.
"It was critical that we got him in the airport and out of
here," said Manatee County sheriff's SWAT commander Maj. Brad Steube.
"Everyone in the country knew exactly where he was and we had to get him out
of here."
Tom Lyons’ of the Sarasota Herald-Tribune in
Memo: ACT OF WAR observed:
When a wave of then-unfolding, well-coordinated terrorist
assaults commandeered his attention in Sarasota on Tuesday morning,
President George W. Bush made a quick decision.
He could and arguably should have left Emma E. Booker Elementary School
immediately, gotten onto Air Force One and left Sarasota without a
moment's delay. He could have forgotten all about a school media center
full of elementary school kids and teachers waiting to see him.
But he didn't.
(Sarasota Herald-Tribune
(FL), Bush hears of attack while visiting Booker, September 12, 2001 Page:
A21)
Mr. Lyons went on to say that he was pleased that the
President considered the children waiting and that he took the time to speak
to them before he left. But to stay would be to endanger the children and
their teachers….unless he and/or the Secret Service
knew there was no danger in Sarasota.
At 9:43 am, when American Flight 77 (or
a missile, according to Donald Rumsfeld in October Parade Magazine)
crashed into the west side of the Pentagon nation's military intelligence
headquarters, President Bush was on Air Force One headed for Barksdale Air
Force Base near Shreveport, Louisiana, and Offutt AFB near Omaha,
Nebraska. Passenger aircraft remained in the air long after the President
left Sarasota and these could be considered potential threats. But not to
an airborne Air Force One in an open sky and a potential hijacker without
radar assistance to even FIND AF1. Also at Offutt, a secure Air Force Base,
from 8:00 AM on, several CEOs were at a "charity event" sponsored by
billionaire Bush-supporter, Warren Buffet. Several of the CEOs would have
been at the WTC had they not been at Offutt. Is this a coincidence?
Delta Flight 1862 arrived at
Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport from Atlanta about 10:25 a.m.
Tuesday, about 40 minutes after President Bush left on Air Force One.
Sarasota Herald-Tribune (FL)
“FAA decision to ground flights strands thousands nationwide.”
September 12, 2001.To summarize:
- Before he entered the Emma E.
Booker Elementary School, the President acknowledged that he knew that the
first plane had hit the World Trade Center.
-
Vice
President Cheney revealed on
Meet the Press that from that moment forward, the Secret Service was
on an open line to the FAA and would know that a second plane had been
hijacked, transponders off, and heading for NY City.
-
Within minutes of entering the
school President Bush was told that a second passenger plane had hit the
South Tower of the World Trade Center.
-
The President remained in the
school nearly 30 minutes longer.
-
Sarasota-Bradenton International
Airport is only 5 minutes from Emma E. Booker Elementary School and Venice
Municipal Airport is only 10 miles south of Sarasota.
-
Air traffic was not grounded until
9:40, the last flight landing at 10:25, and international flights were not
diverted until after noon.
-
The President would logically be a
prime target of terrorists.
-
By staying at Emma E. Booker
Elementary School for over half an hour after the “attacks” began, the
President was placing the children and staff in a situation of clear and
present danger.
-
The Secret Service did not
immediately remove the President from a situation highly vulnerable to
attack.
-
All of this was reported in mainstream news.
Why weren’t they worried? The FBI and counter-terrorism
experts in the US were forewarned in 1995 when details of 'Project
Bojinka', a plan to blow up 11 US airline flights over the Pacific and
to crash airplanes into the Pentagon and the CIA, were revealed after Abdul
Hakim Murad and Ramsey Yousef were apprehended. Undoubtedly this was sure
to catch the attention of the Secret Service. The Library of Congress report
on The Sociology And Psychology of Terrorism warned in 1999 about
suicide hijackers. U.S. and Italian officials were warned in July 2001 that
Islamic terrorists might attempt to kill President Bush and other leaders by
crashing an airliner into the Genoa Summit of industrialized nations. Such
a threat would most likely be taken seriously by the Secret Service since
that's their job.
Why did they even enter the school when they knew that four jumbo jets had
flown off course and that one of them had crashed into the North Tower of
the World Trade Center? Why didn’t they immediately leave the school when
they heard that a second jumbo jet had slammed into the South Tower of the
World Trade Center? Wasn’t it obvious that the children and teachers became
a target along with the President by his remaining at the school?
FAA suspected something was amiss at 8:20 AM and notified
the National Military Control Center and NORAD at 8:40 AM. The normal
procedure is to launch interceptors from the Air Force Base nearest to the
wayward aircraft. No further orders are necessary. It’s routine! It
doesn't require further orders from anyone. Only orders from the highest
authority could cause the Air Force to stand down from such a routine duty.
This happened not just once but four times in the same morning! CBS
reported that jet fighters were launched from Otis AFB on Cape Cod 300 miles
away and arrived too late. But why not from McGuire AFB only 71 miles away
or from Westover AFB in Massachusetts 147 miles away.
Four planes at once with no transponder info on the FAA
screens and Air Force screens, all of them just showing up as blips on
radar. One plane is in a "NO FLY ZONE" which is constantly monitored,
restricted airspace. Normally when a plane deviates just a little, the FAA
will call and/or allow for course corrections. But these planes were miles
off course. In these instances, the FAA reports it to the Air Force.
However, in these instances, the Air Force has already locked onto these
planes, because they monitor the commercial system as well as their own.
That's 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year. They have to,
so that we don't have military and commercial aircraft flying into one
another. In a circumstance like Flight 11, this plane is far off course and
not responding normally to communications. They did a hard bank (90 degrees
to the south) somewhere north of Albany, NY. The Air Force is to scramble at
least a recon aircraft to monitor. Why no reconnaissance on any of the first
three flights?
Let's look at the second plane. It
was 18 minutes until it hit the second building. This plane flew over NYC,
past the city and went to somewhere around Newark, NJ. At that point it
did a 360 degree bank to fly back to NYC. By this time both the FAA and
the Air Force know that this is no accident happening. They know that they
have hijacked planes in the air.
An F-15 flies at 1850+ nautical miles per second, over Mach
2.5. A sidewinder with heat-seeking infrared guidance has a range of 18
miles. (Is it even necessary to mention the speed of this missile?) This
aircraft, according to the USAF's own website, goes from "scramble order"
to 29,000 feet in 2.5 minutes. New York City is 71 miles from McGuire AFB
in NJ and 147 from Westover AFB in MA. At only Mach 2, this plane could
travel from the ground in NJ to NYC, in under 7 minutes. Mach 2 is
20+ miles per minute and Mach 2.5 is 30+ miles per minute. This is 150 to
210 seconds (3-4 minutes) to cover the 71 miles. If we factor in the time
for the scramble order, to being in the air; we are at 5 to 6 minutes for
an F-15 to bypass flight 175, turn, and sit at the WTC to wait for the
plane (175) to arrive. This is far less than 18 minutes, and Flight 175
had to fly back over the Hudson Bay to reach its target.
Later, too late, jetfighters were launched from Langley AFB
129 miles away. Why were there 4 hijacked passenger planes in the air
for nearly 2 hours and no response from the Air Force to defend the nation's
Capitol? Who gave the order to stand down? Someone was both
committing treason and murder or was hopelessly negligent and incompetent.
I haven’t heard of any investigation to find out who had given that order or
to punish or demote them.
Now that I’ve asked the hardest questions, maybe you could
help me with a few other troublesome questions. When were the plans
developed to attack Afghanistan? Such an operation cannot be assembled
in less than a month. Other governments were in attendance at the
meeting in July when the US government threatened to attack Afghanistan in
October. And that videotape of bin Laden, the one
that showed a
man with a short, chubby face and short nose! We all know
what bin Laden looks like! And it's not Bert! Even a B-movie would do a
better job of casting! And now, are we really looking for Osama bin Laden in
Iraq, North Korea, and Iran? Iraq is a secular Arabic state, anathema to
bin Laden. North Korea is isolated from everybody. Iran even helped us
launch Operation Enduring Freedom against Afghanistan to help us "find bin
Laden." And aren’t al-Qaeda members helping us train the former KLA in the
part of Kosovo that we are to protect? I’m confused how an enemy can be our
ally and close associate at the same time in different parts of the world?
