As tragic and unjust as bank fraud is and the number of people who have suffered at the hands of corrupt banking institutions and a corrupt government, the stakes are still higher and will affect even more Australians causing even more suffering. The bank frauds that have been an endemic plague for nearly a generation or more have been directed at small businesses and family farmers so that corporations and the corporate state can obtain total control of the people. Too many family farmers would make difficult the corporatization of the food and fiber industry. Before the Australian government can take control of water. food and fiber they must whittle down the number of privately held farms and businesses. Bank Fraud has been their weapon of choice against free enterprise and freedom. Tested on Australians, the project can be readily expanded to the rest of the world."

Malcolm Turnbull MP for Wentworth rang last night. Geoff’s mom answered. It was late and Geoff had gone to bed.

It was Malcolm XXX’s first attempt to contact Geoff after Geoff had been trying for more than a year. But it’s an election and his electorate might not like it that Malcolm XXX had been so callous and unresponsive to a constituent who was begging for help. When the Sydney Morning Herald alerted him to the story about his cold, passionless attitude toward the Dwyer family’s dilemma, he went ballistic. Howard went ballistic. This is not good news to break at such a sensitive juncture in such a close election. SMH is sitting on the story. But here it is on Sydney Indy-media.

Geoff just needed a hearing regarding an issue of vital interest to all Australians. Susan Dwyer couldn’t handle the stress caused by the fraud and lies of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. A family friend who was a top manager at the bank set them up to get a business loan 25 years ago and didn’t tell them that the Foreign Currency Loan that was suggested was a fraud. He didn’t tell them that the bank’s own currency specialists KNEW that the Australian dollar had not been fully deregulated. Their memo showed that the Australian dollar would be deeply devalued once it was.

Susan was a gorgeous woman and a wonderful person. But under the horrendous stress of the treachery of the bank and the loss of their business, she had a stroke, then another and another. She lapsed into a coma. She remained in the coma for 17 years. Geoff and his family took care of her 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with no holiday or time off. She passed away a few months ago.

The bank had brought in a bull dog QC to snarl and prance before a semi-inebriated judge. They didn’t find the documents on discovery that had been made part of the court record in the Quade decision three months earlier. The incompetence of the Dwyer counsel was typical. He didn’t insist on examining the Quade decision and he permitted the bullying of witnesses by the AC/DC bank counsel. The corruption of the bank was compounded by the corruption of the court and the appeal was just as corrupt.

It was a bi-partisan corruption, however. Although it was the Hawke-Keating government that had overseen the deregulation of the banking system that permitted the fraud, Howard was busily promoting the Foreign Currency Loans, and it was Howard who slammed the door on further inquiry, claiming that “the bank-bashing must stop.”

Geoff’s personal hand-delivered request including pertinent documents were delivered to Malcolm Turnbull’s MP office on 16 February 2006. No response. Numerous emails were sent. No response. A letter to Lucy Turnbull following her glowing description of Malcolm XXX’s virtues did obtain a response from the former Lord Mayor of Sydney but she merely cooed condolences and assurances that Malcolm really, really was a wonderful man. In an email to the Sydney Morning Herald, Geoff said this of Malcolm Turnbull: “His prior utter uncaring and indifferent attitude to our family’s circumstances … have been ignored. He is now motivated at the last minute out of self-interest when his very political career is on the line. He shows a glaring belated interest motivated by his own political need.”

So I guess that’s the measure of Malcolm Turnbull MP and aspirant to the Lodge: self-serving and unresponsive to the constituents in his electorate. Geoff and his family even voted for Malcolm XXX last time thinking he might really be what his sweetie says he is.

Well, if it’s a close election, you just lost the margin of victory, Malcolm.
